Free Singing Workshop

April 13, 2016

An upcoming event may be of interest to you – from the National Theatre of Scotland’s Adam World Choir, a trans and non-binary digital choir with members all over the world. As part of the choir project they are working with LGBT Health to run a free singing workshop in Glasgow for local people, run by trans choir member & professional musician Sarah Fanet.

The singing workshop will be a relaxed, no pressure and free event for any trans and non-binary people who would like to come and get to know their voice and have a sing. No experience necessary, just turn up and have fun! The workshop takes place on:

Saturday, April 23 @ 13:00 – 16:00

Location: Gilmorehill Centre (University of Glasgow Theatre Building), 9 University Avenue, Glasgow

Research Help

January 23, 2016

I’ve been contacted by Sarah Ella-Davis and Dr Jo Lloyd of Goldsmiths, University of London, who are conducting research and gathering information on the experiences of people who do not identify as the gender they were assigned at birth. Research relating to transgender and gender nonconforming individuals is a relatively unstudied area, and they hope that evidence such as this will draw attention to some of the issues that need to be addressed. They are looking for a large number of participants to provide reliable results, so please follow the link below and help them with their research (and help the trans community too).
